Today's Biggest Value

Where TACTIX's calibrated model most disagrees with the bookmakers on upcoming fixtures. "Edge" is the model's probability minus the market's implied probability — a positive edge means the model rates an outcome more likely than the price suggests.

Model calibration ±0.2% across 6M+ predictions (all markets, player markets included), updated 7 Nov 2026 — full record on the scoreboard.

What Counts as Value

Every price implies a probability: implied % = 1 ÷ decimal odds

The model estimates its own probability for the same outcome from team strength, form, schedule and scoring patterns. The edge shown on this board is the expected value of £1 staked at the best price: edge = model probability × decimal odds − 1

It's positive exactly when the model's probability beats the price's implied probability. A +6% edge doesn't mean the bet wins — it means £1 returns £1.06 on average if the model is calibrated. Over many such prices an edge compounds; on any single match it's just a probability.

How TACTIX Finds Value

TACTIX estimates each outcome's probability with its own calibrated model; whether that estimate is also blended with bookmakers' prices, and at what weight, is stated on How accurate is TACTIX?. Each prediction with a result is graded against it, and the calibration record is published continuously: 6M+ predictions settled, mean calibration error ±0.2% (all markets, player markets included) — when the model says 60%, it happens about 60% of the time. See the live track record.

Before anything reaches this board, each fixture's probabilities are renormalised and passed through a market-sanity gate — model views that disagree with the market by an implausible margin are held back rather than shown as "value". What survives is ranked by edge, largest first.

These are model views, not tips — the numbers are shown so you can judge for yourself. Read the full methodology or the deeper guide to how the models work.

How to Read the Board

Biggest edge marks today's largest model-market disagreement. Each card shows the fixture, the selection the model favours at the current price, the model's probability against the implied probability, and the resulting edge. The free board shows a sample; the full ranked board across all fixtures and markets is part of TACTIX Pro.

Quiet days happen. When no upcoming fixture clears the value and sanity thresholds, the board is short or empty — an honest empty board beats a manufactured pick.

Value Is a Long Game

Edges are small and variance is large. A calibrated 55% pick still loses 45 times in 100, and losing runs of five or more are routine even when every price taken was good. If you bet at all: stake to survive variance (see the bankroll & dutching calculator), judge yourself on closing line value rather than short-run profit, and treat any single day's board — including this one — as information, not instruction.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a value bet?

A value bet is a price that looks bigger than the real chance of the outcome. If a model estimates a 55% probability but the odds imply only 48%, the gap — the edge — is value. Value is about the price being wrong, not about the outcome being certain: value bets still lose regularly.

How does TACTIX calculate the edge?

TACTIX's model estimates a probability for each outcome of an upcoming fixture, and the edge is that probability multiplied by the best available decimal odds, minus 1 — the model's expected value per £1 staked. It is positive exactly when the model's probability exceeds the probability implied by the price (1 divided by the odds). The board ranks today's fixtures by that edge, largest first.

Why should I trust the model's probabilities?

You shouldn't take them on faith — check the published record. TACTIX grades each prediction with a result against it and publishes its calibration continuously on the public scoreboard: when the model says 60%, you can see how often 60% actually happens. Calibration, not a headline win rate, is the honest test of a probability model.

Are these betting tips?

No. TACTIX is an analytics service. The board shows where the model's probability and the market's price disagree, with the numbers so you can judge for yourself. Nothing here is advice or a guarantee, and TACTIX never handles bets or money.

Why can I only see part of the board?

The free board shows a sample of today's model-vs-market gaps. The full ranked board across all fixtures and markets is part of TACTIX Pro. The model's track record, methodology and calibration record are free and public — the proof is not paywalled.

Does betting value guarantee a profit?

No. An edge is a long-run statistical property — over many priced bets a genuine edge should show, but any single bet, day or month can lose. Variance is large, odds move, and staking discipline matters as much as selection. 18+ and please gamble responsibly.
