What TACTIX Covers

TACTIX is built around a single principle: every match in every league we cover should have the same statistical depth as a Premier League fixture. That means live scores within thirty seconds of the on-field event, league tables that refresh after every match, last-six form guides for every team, expected-goals analysis where the underlying data exists, and side-by-side bookmaker odds for every market we can find a quote on.

The platform's coverage is deliberately weighted towards English football and European continental competitions — that's where most of the audience interest sits, and where the data is richest. But we also carry every major European domestic league, the second tiers in those countries (Championship, Segunda División, 2. Bundesliga, Serie B, Ligue 2), the Scottish football pyramid down to League Two, and other established leagues including Belgium's Jupiler Pro League, the Netherlands' Eredivisie, Portugal's Primeira Liga, and Turkey's Süper Lig.

Every league we list has the same six core feature surfaces: live scores, league table, form guide, fixtures, predictions and odds. Some leagues have additional context like dedicated tactical history pages (Premier League, Champions League, La Liga, Bundesliga); others are listed in the master fixture and standings pages without a dedicated landing page. Coverage depth is a function of audience demand and the underlying quality of the data we can get from our data providers, both of which we revisit periodically as new leagues earn their dedicated pages.

English Football

Every level of the English football pyramid that has professional or semi-professional player registrations is covered: the Premier League at the top, then the EFL Championship, EFL League One, EFL League Two and the National League. Every match in those leagues — and that's around 2,500 fixtures per season across the five tiers — is in the TACTIX database.

On top of the league structure, the FA Cup and the EFL Cup (currently sponsored as the Carabao Cup) are tracked round-by-round, including draws, replays, and the Premier League sides entering at the third-round and quarter-final stages respectively. The two domestic cups produce some of the highest-traffic matchdays of the year — Premier League sides drawn against non-league opposition reliably surface in TACTIX's most-viewed fixture pages.

European Continental Competition

All three UEFA club competitions are covered — Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League — across the new league-phase format from 2024-25 onwards. The Conference League's role as the third-tier UEFA competition has produced some of the most surprising recent European success stories, including Roma's 2022 win and West Ham's 2023 win, both tracked through TACTIX from group stage to final.

International competitions — the FIFA World Cup, UEFA European Championship and UEFA Nations League — are also covered when they're being played. Group-stage tables, knockout brackets and per-match data feed through the same pipelines as the club competitions.

The Big European Leagues

Spain's La Liga, Germany's Bundesliga, Italy's Serie A, France's Ligue 1, the Netherlands' Eredivisie and Portugal's Primeira Liga are all carried in full. These six leagues account for the bulk of European football's tactical and commercial output: most of the players who win the Ballon d'Or, most of the teams that reach Champions League quarter-finals, and most of the transfer business that sets the global market.

Each has its own structural quirks — head-to-head tiebreaks in La Liga; the relegation play-off in the Bundesliga; the Coppa Italia knockout format; Ligue 1's recent 18-team reformat; the Eredivisie's championship play-off in some past seasons. TACTIX captures all of these correctly so the standings, form and predictions reflect each league's actual rules rather than a one-size-fits-all average.

Second Tiers and Beyond

Below the top flights, TACTIX carries every second-tier league in the big European countries: 2. Bundesliga (Germany), Segunda División (Spain), Serie B (Italy) and Ligue 2 (France). The Championship is treated as a near-peer to its Premier League neighbour given the audience and parachute-payment financial overlap; the others are covered to the same depth even if traffic is lower.

Belgian football has its full top-tier coverage (Jupiler Pro League) and second-tier (Challenger Pro League), and Scottish football is covered all the way down through the Premiership, Championship, League One and League Two. Turkey's Süper Lig is the outlying top-flight on the platform — high audience interest from Premier League supporters tracking former players, and tactically distinctive in its own right. New leagues are added when the audience signal and data quality both justify the engineering work.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many football leagues does TACTIX cover?

Currently 100+ competitions across 40+ countries — including the Premier League, Champions League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 in Europe, plus Brasileirão, MLS, J1 League, Liga MX, Allsvenskan, Eliteserien, K League, Saudi Pro League, A-League and more across the Americas, Asia and Oceania. The list is reviewed periodically and grows when audience demand and data quality justify the work.

Are all leagues equally covered?

All listed leagues get the same six core surfaces — live scores, table, form, fixtures, predictions and odds. The 'big' leagues (Premier League, Champions League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1) also get dedicated landing pages with deeper history and tactical context.

What's the difference between a 'league' page and a 'fixtures' page?

Each league page (like /competitions/premier-league) is an SEO-optimised content hub with history, tactical context and stats. The /fixtures page is the live fixture browser, filterable by league. Most users come in from the fixtures page; the league pages are for context.

Can I request coverage of a new league?

Yes — feedback through the in-app thumbs-up/thumbs-down system reaches the engineering team. We prioritise leagues with consistent audience demand and verifiable data quality from our match-data feeds.

How often is data updated across all leagues?

Live scores refresh every 30 seconds during in-play matches in any covered league. League tables and form guides are recomputed continuously. A daily settlement sweep covers the last 14 days to catch retrospective corrections — VAR review, dubious-goals panel, federation rulings.

Are second-tier and lower leagues as accurate as the top flights?

Generally yes, with one caveat: provider coverage is deeper for top-tier than for second-tier leagues, so things like xG calculations and detailed event data may be sparser in lower divisions. League tables, fixtures and live scores are the same accuracy across all tiers.
